This is a food court restaurant directly linked to Hakone Yumoto Station by a covered walkway; perhaps you can drop by when you have a moment while you are waiting for your train or for a break from sightseeing. It offers many delicious Hakone dishes such as its mince katsu burger made from juicy Hakone Sanroku pork or the workman’s lunch of rice in soup from its sister restaurant Yubadon Naokichi. The popular raw tofu shake using plenty of good quality tofu is offered in five different flavours. Bright light shines in from the large windows through which customers can see the nature of Hakone and the counter seats with a view of the mountain railway are also popular.

I’m not sure why some of the reviews have been so critical. We just ate here and were blown away:really reasonable prices, fantastic location, incredibly gracious service even by Japanese standards...

家族3代での箱根旅行。祖父母と孫たちを連れての食事で利用しました。昼時でどこの店も混んでいる中、子連れでの利用ができたのでありがたい。メニューは一般的ですが、中には豆腐を使った料理があって物珍しさもあり、旅行ならではの思い出に残る食事がいただけると思います。景色の良い場所らしいのですが窓際は満席。眺めも楽しみたいなら時間をずらしていくのがベスト。
穴場の？カフェ

湯葉丼のお店が１時間待ちだったので、１階の揚げ蒲鉾を買ってからエレベーターで上がり窓際の席で早川の流れを見ながらドリンクだけ此方で買って頂きました。造りは寂れた遊園地のカフェといった感じですが、旅行客であふれた商店街の喧騒を離れて一服するには最適です。テラス席も有るので桜の季節の穏やかな天気の日には穴場かも・・・。
