Musée PEYNET

Musée PEYNET is located within Karuizawa Taliesin. On display are personal painting tools and original paintings by the French artist Raymond Peynet. Here you can see the “Lovers” series of works painted by Peynet. Different exhibitions and events are held three times a year. The building makes use of the atelier villa designed by Czech architect Antonin Raymond. Opening times vary depending on the time of year so please check in advance.

高原文庫に出かけた際ン十年ぶりに立ち寄った。ペイネのほのぼのとした世界が好きでこれまで何冊か知り合いの若者にささやかな結婚プレゼントとして差し上げた。今回は生誕100年記念として娘さんが所蔵していた原画の公開もありその他初期の作品をも拝見することができた。

軽井沢タリアセンの中にある、フランスの画家ペイネの美術館。タリアセンの中には、歴史的建築物が移築されていますが、こちらもそのひとつ。アントニンレーモンドの軽井沢別荘、夏の家を移築しています。建物内部は山小屋のようなつくりで、ゆるやかな回廊で2階にのぼります。受付のうしろあたりにある、居間のスペースが素晴らしい。快適すぎて、いつまでも腰かけていたくなります。
