Shimoguri no sato

OO no Mori/Sato, Furusatomura / Shizen no Ie, etc.
This is an area on a slope altitude of 800–1,000 meters overlooking the Southern Alps (Akaishi Mountains). The beautiful sight of dotted houses and tea fields means it has been designated as one of Japan’s 100 villages, and because it looks like Austria’s Tirol area it is also occasionally called Japan’s Tirol. The Sky Village Viewpoint is maintained by volunteers and is recommended as it offers a wide view over the village’s scenery.
