This is an old soba noodle restaurant on the shore of Lake Suwa around a seven-minute walk from Kamisuwa Station, and is famous for serving noodles to the Showa Emperor and Empress. The Rankiri Teuchi Soba made with buckwheat flour from famous soba area Mt. Yatsugatake Sanroku and using family tradition techniques has a wonderful flavor that is typical of Shinshu. The relaxing Japanese atmosphere is created with touches like a sunken hearth, tatami floor seating and a stuffed deer. It is a place not only for lunch while exploring Lake Suwa but is also great for dinner parties and special occasions too.

茹で加減があまりにもひどく、味云々ではありません。蕎麦がきに切れ目が入っている？はさすがに言い過ぎか、という感じ。注文後に娘に「こんなところでうどんを頼むなんて」などと余計なことを言いましたが、うどんが正解なんですね。

宿泊する宿の方にお勧めのお蕎麦屋さんを聞き、教えていただいたお店です。諏訪湖畔から少し入ったところにあります。椅子テーブル席は店の入口付近にありますが数は少なく、大きなお座敷が奥にあります。広い方の椅子テーブル席で食べましたが、テーブルの形態上、蕎麦が食べにくかったです。天ざる蕎麦とざる蕎麦を頼みました(合計2750円)。お蕎麦と一緒に蕎麦つゆも運ばれます。手打ち麺でこしがあり美味しかった...

割と大き目なお店で余裕があります。蕎麦は香も良く、お出汁も上品。諏訪地方の名物も食べられます。馬刺しも美味しかった。
