Wien Austrian House
This museum located in the Ijinkan area (an area of Western-style buildings built mostly for foreign settlers) in Chuo Ward, Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture introduces the history and culture of Austria, with an emphasis on the famous composer, Mozart. In the building, recreated to look like an aristocratic house of the 18th century, are exhibits which display costumes and wedding features reminiscent of the court culture of the time, and portraits of the Holy Roman Empress Maria Theresia. You can also see a replica of the piano used by Mozart and music written by the man himself. There is also a chocolate shop selling goods direct from prestigious hotels in Vienna, and you can enjoy the taste of delicious chocolate while having a drink on the garden terrace.
