Asahi Theater
A rental theater that opened as a theater in 1910 and later reopened as a theater for the masses in the downtown, Shinsekai. In addition to fixed seating, the theater has sajiki-seki (elevated wooden seats on both sides of an auditorium for expensive tickets) and a hanamichi (elevated walkway through the audience to the stage), giving it a playhouse-like structure.
