Tubarama Kokusaidori branch
Tuva Rama is a restaurant specializing in Okinawan cuisine located on Kokusai Street, around one minute’s walk from Makishi Station. Tuva Rama offers an impressive range of Okinawan dishes made using local ingredients; the regular evening dinner menu alone has over 60 different items. For lunch, the restaurant has a range of set meals, including Okinawan Soba noodles and Chanpuru (an Okinawan stir-fried dish). The restaurant interior successfully recreates the atmosphere of pre-war Okinawa; there are live sanshin (shamisen) and Shima-uta (traditional Okinawan folk music) performances every evening.
