Yukui Iriomote Island's dyeing and weaving遯カ遖ーands on art studio
This workshop is located near Iriomotejima-Jungle Hotel Painumaya and offers visitors a chance to create their own dyed fabric. You can create dyed textiles using a combination of mangrove bark and seawater that never creates the same pattern twice, as well as straps, mini tapestries made using a loom, and many other handcrafted goods. You can also purchase handwoven coasters and T-shirts that use dyes created from island plants.
