Visitors can take a tour aboard a glass boat across Ishigaki Island’s Kabira Bay, one of Okinawa’s most famous scenic spots. Boats depart every 15 minutes, so the wait is fairly short. The boat will take you to the part of the bay with the best view. You’ll be able to see vividly colored tropical fish and coral reefs through the boat’s glass bottom. The guide will provide useful information to the passengers, so no prior knowledge is necessary.

ウミガメは、泳ぐよりサンゴの上で休んでいる時間が長いらしい

まっぷるを持っていたら1,200円の乗船料が1,000円になり、ブルーシールのシングルチケット(当日のみ、近くの店舗でのみ利用可能)が貰えました。グラスボート乗船時間は約30分。幾つかのポイントを回ってサンゴ、キレイな魚が集まっているところを紹介してくれます。ウミガメも見れ、大満足でした。
ウミガメに運が良ければ会えるかも？！

干潮気味で海が濁り気味とのことでしたが、沖に出れば全然気になりませんでした。時間帯的にウミガメに出会える可能性は低いとのことでしたが、なんと、2匹のウミガメに出会うことができました！しかも1匹はグラスボートのすぐ下を泳いでくれ、肉眼でしっかり顔つきまで確認できて感動しました。本当にラッキーだったと思います。魚群の産卵風景もたまたま見れてまるで水族館のようでした。最後アイス交換をする時間...

曇り空で引き潮時でしたが、グラスボートでの遊覧で海中の生物観察ができました。大きなシャコ貝やカクレクマノミにも出会えました。
