Ohara Sanso Ashiyu Cafe
This cafe is in Ohara Sanso, a hot spring inn located in Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture. It's a popular spot for enjoying tea while taking a relaxing footbath. You have to buy at least one drink, and it comes with a towel for drying your feet. A table seat at the footbath can be used for 40 minutes. Their homemade shiso (perilla) juice is made from red shiso they grow themselves. The interior is a thoroughly Japanese-style space overflowing with Kyoto ambience. You can enjoy the seasonal scenery of Ohara's nature unfolding just outside the window.
