Kotobiki Nakisuna Cultural Center
This is a museum in Kyotango City, Kyoto Prefecture. Built around the well known theme of the local barking sand, which makes a sound when moved, one can experientially learning about this natural phenomenon here. You can view the barking sand from beaches in Japan, and also compare them with the microscope photos of barking sands of overseas beaches. Even if the weather in inclement on the Kotobiki beach, you can enjoy making the sand bark at the hands-on corner inside the center.
