Marukyu-Koyamaen Nishinotoin Branch
Marukyu-Koyamaen is an old tea shop formed in the Genroku period. With the motto “making tea with true elegance,” they have complete quality control from cultivation to production and offer a flavorful Uji-cha tea. At the Nishinotoin branch on Nishinotoin-dori Street near Nijojo-mae Station they sell matcha, gyokuro and sencha high quality green teas as well as confectionery containing matcha. At the joint-established teahouse “Genan” one can spend a relaxing time enjoying a tea and sweets set or perhaps a cake.
