Notonojo Inafusa Yasukane

Japanese Confectionery
A Japanese confectionery shop situated in the middle of the approach to the Byodoin temple in Uji. The shop was granted special permission in 1853 to use its trade name, a title normally only usable by secretaries of the rank of “jo,” by the Ninnaji Temple. The shop sells sweets made according to family recipes such as cha dango sweet tea dumplings, monaka bean jam wafer cakes, sweet bean jelly, and thick “Kisenyama” senbei rice crackers.
