Kyoto Prefectural Insho Domoto Museum of Fine Arts
An art museum located close to the Kinugasa Campus of Ritsumeikan University which collects the works of Japanese painter Insho Domoto, who flourished in the Taisho and Showa periods. Established in 1966 by the artist himself for the display of his works, in 1991 the museum was donated to Kyoto Prefecture. In addition to the artworks themselves, the entire museum, designed inside and out by Domoto, could be called a work of art by the man.
