Gion Kurashita
A traditional kaiseki course cuisine restaurant located in the Gionmachi Minamigawa neighborhood of Higashiyama Ward. The restaurant offers kaiseki dishes made with seasonal ingredients, plain boiled mizutaki dishes, and, in winter only, tecchiri (boiled fugu). The shop’s boiled tofu is made with specially ordered dashi soy sauce and tofu from Hattori, a venerable shop established in 1910 famed as the official provider of the Nanzen-ji Zen Temple. The boiled tofu can be ordered a la carte in addition to the boiled tofu meal.

- Dinner not good
- The place is nice but over expensive, not fresh or delicious. It’s only for tourists. I will not recommend this restaurant for families.
