Kyoto Modern Terrace
The Kyoto Kaikan, designed by Kunio Maekawa in 1960, was praised as a masterpiece of modernist architecture. ROHM Theatre Kyoto, facing Heian Jingu Shrine, preserves Maekawa’s vision despite significant alterations and expansion, and Kyoto Modern Terrace is located on its second floor. Here diners can enjoy fire grilled dishes and other menu items made with seasonal Kyoto ingredients in a modernist atmosphere. The restaurant is also rentable for parties and accommodates up to 200 people.
