This indoor swimming pool located in the south ward of Kumamoto City is used by many people throughout the year. Inside there is a 25-meter pool and training room which can be used in any season, a summer-only 50-meter pool and diving pool, and an autumn-only multipurpose floor. In winter the 50-meter pool becomes a skate rink, and one can enjoy ice skating and other ice sports. They hold various events including sports classes and ice shows.

アクアドーム横に広い公園があり子どもが走り回ったりできます。夏は外で水遊びができますよ。アクアドーム内はジムがあり一回500円で気軽に行けます。

震災の時は避難所として、資材置き場とされていたようですが、通常は夏季はプール、冬季はスケートリンクとして利用されているようです。最寄駅は西熊本駅ですが、バスも近くを走っているようですし、駐車場も広くて便利に思いました。客席もきれいですし立派な施設だと思います。フィギュアのイベントも定期的に開催されているようで地元の方は楽しみにしていると言っていました。

とても目立つドームです。田園風景の中にポツンとあります。夏はプール、冬はスケートもあるようです。周りを歩く人もたくさんいます。田舎にしてこの施設はすばらしいです。もっと活用した方が、よいような気がします。
