Mifuneyama Rakuen
"Due to its resemblance in shape to a Chinese boat called a ""karasen"" in Japanese, Mt. Mifune is also called Mt. Karasen. This park is situated on the mountain's western side. The park was created over a three year period as part of a villa for Nabeshima Shigeyoshi, then lord of Takeo Domain. The park is incredibly beautiful in spring when some 2,000 cherry trees and 200 thousand azaleas on the grounds bloom in profusion. The sight of colorful azaleas sprawling like a patchwork quilt under azure sky is stunning, but the scenery created when the park is illuminated at night is also magical and exceptional."

- Beautiful in many seasons
- Been here several times, most recently a couple days ago. While most of the azaleas have fallen, the wisteria were still quite beautiful. Enjoy this venue year-round through spring, fall, and summer...

- Poetic at day - Marvellous at night
- From Takeo Onsen station, exit at entrance B and took the bus to Ureshino. Get off at Mifuneyama Rakuen and walked up the road until you see the ticket booth inside the souvenir shop and the vendors...
