Hakata Port Tower
This tower symbolic of Hakata Port was built in 1964. The observation deck 70 meters above ground is free for public use, and from there one has a 360-degree panoramic view of Hakata City, Hakata Port, and the boats that go to and fro across the sea. At night it is crowded with people who come to see the illuminations and the sea lit up in beautiful, bright colors.
