Ganso Nagahamaya
A venerable ramen shop first started as a food stand in 1952. A favorite breakfast stop for people working in the nearby Fukuoka Central Wholesale Fish Market, the shop has even been featured in the media and is famous as the progenitor of Nagahama ramen. Tonkotsu (pork bone broth) ramen is the only item on the menu, but the simple and rich flavor of its concentrated broth is something you’ll never get tired of. Diners can order the firmness of their noodles as well as the amount of fat and onions to taste. The shop is known for the rapid fire unique orders made by regulars. Closest station: Akasaka Station.

- Cheap and Tasty
- A rough, local version of ramen. Goes well with the red ginger and sesame provided on the tables.Definitely not a refined dish, but quite satisfying with good flavor and texture balances.
