Hokkaido Governor’s Official Residence

Historical Monument
The Hokkaido Governor’s Official Residence is a designated National Registered Tangible Cultural Property. It was built using the half-timbered construction method, and the red color of the exposed posts and beams contrasts strikingly with the white lime plaster. The garden, with its beautiful green lawns, is open to the public from spring through to autumn; on sunny days, it is a great place for a stroll.
