Noshappu (Cold Current) Aquarium
Here at the Noshappu Aquarium, the northernmost aquarium in Japan which was the 100th aquarium to be built, you can see many sea creatures from the north. Things to see include the powerful 90 ton water tank and 600 Pacific herrings. Other recommended attractions are the seal show and animal feeding. From JR Wakkanai Station take the Soya bus towards Noshappu and get off at the Noshappu bus stop. The aquarium is a five-minute walk from the bus stop.
