Asahikawa Ramen Aoba

This long-established ramen shop began business as a ramen stall in 1947. Known as the pioneer of Asahikawa ramen whose main flavor is soy sauce, this ramen shop has continued to safeguard its own ramen soup, which is suited to a below minus 30°C climate, for three generations. Their classic soy sauce ramen is of course the most popular. As you pass through the shop door, bowing low under the curtain which has remained unchanged for many years, you’ll find photos and autographs posted all over the shop wall.
