Meisui Fureai Park
This park was created to commemorate the selection of Naibetsugawa Spring, which provides the residents of the city with tap water, as one of the Top 100 Famous Water in Japan. It is located approximately 10 minutes from Chitose Interchange, and there is a walking path beside the Rankoshi Water Treatment Plant, where the Naibetsugawa and Chitose rivers meet. Inside the park, the outlet of the Naibetsugawa Spring has been reproduced, and it is visitors can watch fish swimming in the clear water. On sunny days, people also dip their feet in, or play in the water, as well as come to view the cherry blossoms. And a full-scale model of the first Hokkaido aircraft to land at New Chitose Airport is displayed at the nearby water treatment plant.
