Red-crowned Crane Observation Center
This facility is connected to the Akan International Crane Center [GRUS]. The Akan area has long been a center for winter crane preservation and research, and is a center for observing various birds and crane varieties including red-capped tancho cranes. The building has displays of maps, photographs, and research materials on the birds to study at your leisure. The center is open from November through March, during the wild cranes' stopping season. The feeding area in front of the center carries out artificial feeding processes. There are panel displays teaching about the lifestyle and ecology of the tancho red-capped crane, and are a perfect way to get more familiar with these registered Special Natural Monuments.
