Heihaiden
"The front shrine of the Suwa Grand Shrine Shimosha Akimiya. Suwa Taisha Shrine lacks a main shrine, and the deity it is dedicated to is enshrined in this, the ""Autumn Palace,"" for half the year starting in the fall and the Harumiya ""Spring Palace"" for the other half starting in the spring. Notable for its intricate carvings, a match for the skills employed in the Harumiya hall, the Akimiya was built in a carpenterry called the Tatekawaryu. The carvings incorporate historical Chinese events and good luck signs in their design, such as lions, tree peonies, elephants, pine trees, falcons, and carp riding waves to the heavens. Because of the elegance of the building and the beauty of the carvings which cover its entirety, it is seen as carpenter Tatekawa Washiro II's masterwork and has been designated a National Important Cultural Property."
