Komatsushi Fire Department (Komatsu City Disaster Prevention Center)
A facility where everyone can experience what disasters feel like and learn what to do in them located in the Komatsu Fire Department Headquarters building. In the facility’s disaster prevention theater, visitors can get a realistic earthquake experience during a 20 minute program which includes chairs which shake in sync with the video. There’s also a fire extinguishing activity which teaches you how to use a fire extinguisher, and a smoke exhibit where you can learn about the dangers of smoke and its characteristics.
