Crane Village Furusato Museum
This straw-thatch home was relocated from the village of Ushirononakano in 1995. The reconstruction was done using the original materials from the over 120-year-old home, and everything from the private rooms to the living rooms, mud room, and stable are faithfully reconstructed. The museum contains a variety of artifacts that allow visitors to experience life as it was at the time, and one can almost feel the history of Tsuruta Town. Entry is free, and many visitors also stop by the nearby Tsurunomaihashi Bridge, Japan's premier wooden three-arch bridge.
