Sekai-ichi no Sakura Namiki

Place famous for cherry blossoms
This is a row of 6,500 North Japanese hill cherry trees planted around the Prefectural Route 3 leading to Mt. Iwaki. The trees were planted over ten years from 1985, and they add a bright red color to the green mountain. The best time is from late April to early May every year. Since the trees are planted in areas with altitudes differing by 250 meters, the flowering period varies slightly depending on the location and they can be enjoyed over a long period of time.
