Tonami Clan Landing Place

Other Historic Site/Building
This is the landing site of the clan that left Aizu and sailed through the Sea of Japan from Niigata to Tanabu, where the new domain administrative headquarters was located. The number who came ashore at Ohiraura (present-day Ominatoshincho) in 1870 is said to have been around 1,800. There is a historical monument that was constructed in 1990 to teach the story of the clan's voyage to future generations.
