角館出身で新潮社の創設者、佐藤義亮氏の功績を顕彰する施設で、新潮社の歴史のほか日本近代文学の資料を展示しています。今回は新幹線の発車時刻が迫っていいたため、蔵風の立派な建物を外から見学しただけとなりました。

偶然にも入場料が無料だったので、ぶらっと立ち寄りました。「人間失格」や「吾輩は猫である」の新潮社オリジナルTシャツが売っていて、思わず大人買いしそうになりました。
