Kakurinbo Temple

Temple
"This temple is located about 30 minutes from Rokugo Interchange on the Chubu-Odan Expressway via National Route 52. It is a sub-temple of Kuonji Temple established by Niccho, the Buddhist priest responsible for the area's religious revival. Niccho is said to have overcome blindness through the power of his faith. Based on his prayer to protect and heal believers suffering from eye diseases, the temple has become known as a place to pray for cures for eye diseases and for success in academics. The temple is famous for its shojin kaiseki (multi-course vegetarian Buddhist meals) featuring yuba (tofu skins), a local specialty of Minobu Town. Meals can be enjoyed even if you are not staying overnight. Eating lunch at the temple called ""Ote-lunch"" has become a popular attraction. Overnight guests at the temple can enjoy taking a wine bath while viewing the Japanese garden."
