"This cafe is in the Maizuru Brick Park, a historically valuable gathering of brick buildings often used as filming locations for film and TV. It stands in front of the general reception area of Building 2, which holds the Maizuru City Commemoration Hall, and offers a ""Naval Menu"" that recreates dishes from the former Imperial Navy's cookbook and old cooking references. As Maizuru is considered to be the birthplace of the Nikujaga meat and potatoes dish, they offer a Nikujaga Don rice bowl, as well as Kaigun (navy) curry made from the original recipe, Kaigun beef cutlet made from a recipe that was introduced along with the opening of Japan to outsiders in the Meiji era, and more dishes you won't find anywhere else. They also have a cafe dessert menu with treats like Kaigun Roll and Renga (brick) Pound Cake."

海上自衛隊ゆかりの遊覧船を乗船した後、ランチタイムとして訪問させていただ来ました。予約表に名前を記入して、待っている間に客席の方を見ていると、海軍カレーがメインデッシュと言わんばかりに、殆どの方が海軍カレーをオーダーしているように見えました。私も待っている間は「海軍カレー」をチョイスする予定でしたが、テーブルに座りメニューを見ると食べた事がない「肉じゃが丼」っていうのがあるじゃないです...
赤レンガ2号館にあるカフェ

舞鶴赤レンガ倉庫の2号館にあるカフェ。2号館では。艦船見学ツアーなどの受付や集合場所にもなっているので、ここで食事やお茶をとって、時間調整するのにも便利です。海軍カレーをいただきました。味にあまり特徴がなく、ほとんど具はありませんでした。ケーキとコーヒーもいただき、しばし休憩させていただきました。

今日は、朝から赤煉瓦パークにやってきました。次の予定まで少し時間があったので、赤煉瓦パーク内の「赤煉瓦カフェ・ジャズ」さんでお茶をしていくことにしました。メニューから海軍ラムネをオーダー！！レモンを搾り、レモネードとして楽しみ、その後、紅茶⇒珈琲を加えて、味の変化を楽しみます。
