A sushi restaurant that stands out due to its blue exterior on the western edge of Nishikikoji. This shop has been open for over 60 years and is well known for its L-shaped counter sitting that can only sit five customers. The best way to pass the time in the shop as small as a tea-ceremony room is to chat with the hostess while waiting for your sushi. The shop's specialty mackerel sushi comes in two varieties, With Skin which shines silver, and the pink Flesh Only. The lightly marinated mackerel is almost raw and the refreshing taste pairs perfectly with the vinegar sushi rice. Take away is offered so many people buy this as a souvenir.

高倉沿い、四条と錦の間のほぼ錦寄り、といったあたりにこぎたな、いや、年季の入った極小店舗で営まれます。店内での飲食を憚られるレベルですが、鯖寿司はじめ季節ごとの棒寿司が評判なのだとか、秋も深まって鯖に脂がのってくるかと思い予め予約の上持ち帰りを企てます。結果的に季節はやや早く魚体のサイズには不満が残りました。こちらの棒寿司は関西一円で一般的な強い押しは控えており、むしろ飯粒の間に空気の存在する感...

京都に鯖寿司屋さんはたくさんありますが、このお店が一番美味しいと思います。座席は6席しかないため、並びますが、常連さんは皆さんテイクアウトしてました。鯖寿司は時価なのでいつも値段が違います。今回は、鯖寿司とお吸い物二杯で4000円でした。決して安くはありませんが、鯖の臭みもなく、脂も乗っており、酢飯の酢加減も良い感じでした。錦市場に行ったらまた立ち寄りたいです。
