Matsuyama Furusato History Museum
A museum in Matsuyamasengoku Matsuyama, Osaki City. In the History Exhibition you'll find materials related to the history of the region including information about the Moniwa family, the former chief vassal family of the Sendai domain. In the Frank Nagai Exhibition,they have materials regarding Frank Nagai, a famous singer who came from the area. The museum's collection includes a wooden seated statue of the Thousand-Armed Kannon which has been designated an Important Cultural Property of Japan and the famous Yamatoden sword, crafted by the swordsmith, the Eight Generation HokkeSaburoNobufusa.
