Tsutsumi Ume Danchi (Plum Trees)
This place famous for its plum blossoms is located in Tsutsumi, Ogawara Town, Shibata County. Around 3,000 flowering plum trees of numerous varieties were planted on around six hectares of reclaimed mountain land during the pre-war period. The Ogawara District has long been famous for its plum blossoms, earning the nickname “Umegaeso.” The Ogawara Plum Festival is held in the area every June.
