Fuwa-no-seki Ruins

"These ruins are located in the Matsuo area of Sekigahara Town, Fuwa County. It was established by Emperor Tenmu the year after the Jinshin War, which had broken out in 672, and had been counted alongside Suzuka-no-Seki, in Ise, and Arachi-no-Seki, in Echizen, as the ""Sangan,"" the three important checkpoints of the Japanese nation under the ritsuryo codes. Artifacts are on display at the nearby Fuwanoseki Museum."
