"This museum that opened in 1972 is located about 100 meters away from the Magome Tourist Information Center. It is a nostalgic old-fashioned country house building that has exhibits on the history of Magome, as well as selling snacks and souvenirs. The museum exhibits are centered around Shimazaki Masaki, the father of Shimazaki Toson and the model of the main character in the book ""Yoake Mae,"" and allows for visitors to experience the history and the background of the play stages. In addition to furniture, tableware and clothing of the time, old toys, retro televisions, televisions and radios are also on display."

馬籠宿を北側から降りてくると、宿場町の中ほどに観光案内所があり、さらにもう少し下った左手に、槌馬屋資料館がありました。この資料館、本業はおみやげ屋さんのようで、店頭では栗ふくというお菓子が五平餅が売られていました。私たちは、２階の資料館には入りませんでしたが、店の奥にあった休憩スペースで購入した栗ふくをいただきました。休憩スペースは、古民家風になっていて、江戸時代の宿場の家屋の雰囲気が感じら...

残念な資料館

馬籠宿に面した飲食店・土産店「槌馬屋」の2階が資料館となっている。入館料は200円。島崎藤村に関する資料、木曽の歴史資料、民具などが展示されている。展示品は結構多いが、展示ケースのガラスは薄汚れ、部屋の隅には蜘蛛の巣が張っている。入館券もパンフレットもない残念な資料館である。
