A soba restaurant at Roadside Station Seiryu no Sato Shirotori located a five-minute drive from Mino Shiratori Station. They offer freshly made soba noodles from locally produced buckwheat flour. The pleasing aroma of the noodles goes great with the broth made with pure local water. They also offer a variety of side dishes like hoba-sushi, a Gifu seasonal tradition with vinegared rice wrapped in a magnolia leaf. Other items include mountain vegetable tempura and sobagaki buckwheat dumplings. They also hold soba making workshops (reservations required).

おそばを頂きました。梅肉おろしそば、梅肉は肉団子ぐらいたっぷりあって、暑い夏場に最適。塩分が補充されました。まだまだ暑い日が続きますが、塩分補給は重要です。ところでこのお店、テーブルはすべて一枚板なんです。林業が盛んなんですね。

２０２２年２月の土曜日、独りで訪れました。延年御膳を注文、そばと朴葉寿司、そば田楽、小鉢にそばムースです。そばはいつもと変わらず腰のある良い香りのそばです。そば田楽は甘めの味噌にそばの実が乗り良い香りがします。そばムースはこれもそばの香りで下に小豆餡が隠れています。そばを堪能できる御膳です。
