Pokopen Yokocho
This retro market in Ozu 3-Chome, Ozu City recreates a typical backalley shopping district of the 1950s to the 1960s. It features restaurants serving ramen, croquettes, and other foods, as well as a variety of stores including toy shops and antiques dealers. There are also booths where visitors can try playing old-fashioned games from the period. The market’s Omoide Soko, meanwhile, is a veritable warehouse of nostalgic items from the Showa period including vintage toys and enamel signs. The market is held every Sunday from April to the end of November and every third Sunday from December to the end of March.
