This museum located on Ehime University’s Johoku Campus in Bunkyo-cho, Matsuyama City has a mission of disseminating the results of university’s academic research. It features permanent exhibits on the four basic themes: Evolution of Earth and Universe, Ehime History and Culture, Diversity of Life, and Human Activities in the Environment. The museum also features spaces for special exhibits as well as an insect specimen repository and gallery with a collection of more than 1. 2 million specimens.

伊予鉄道市内線(路面電車)の「赤十字病院前」電停から徒歩5分ほど。愛媛大学城北キャンパス内にある博物館。入館無料。現在はコロナ禍のため休館となっており再開時期は不明。訪館する前に公式サイトで開館/閉館を確認した方がいいでしょう。

昆虫好きな息子のために、愛媛観光の一つとして連れて行きました。マルタンヤンマトンボを捕ったことがある息子が、上野博物館や大きな博物館でも、マルタンヤンマの標本がなくて残念がっていましたが、愛媛大学ミュージアムには、マルタンヤンマの標本がありました‼️息子は大興奮しておりました。他のお客さんもいなくて、ゆっくりじっくりみれて無料で良かったです。大学校内に駐車場があることを知らずに遠く...

展示の内容、すごく面白いですよ！！特に昆虫の標本……。全然人がいないのでゆっくり見ることができるのも良きです。
