Yu Jinja Shrine

Shrine
This shrine is in Dogoyuno-machi, Matsuyama. The ancient shrine was apparently built on the decree of the Keiko Emperor, the 12th emperor of Japan, and venerates the deities Onamuchinomikoto and Sukunabikonanomikoto. When the Dogo Onsen source spring was damaged by earthquake, tales say that prayers here resulted in it being restored, and now every March they hold the Yugitosai hot spring prayer festival to commemorate it.
