This facility, located on Aoyama-dori Street in the Gofuku-machi area of Tanba-Sasayama City, shows the process of sake production and is run by the sake company Houmei Sake Brewery, which was established in 1797. The learning course, with displays the tools used to make sake and panels about the sake production process, can be enjoyed free of charge and without reservations (reservations are required for groups). There is also a shop selling all products by the brewery and specialty products from Sasayama. Buildings such as the main building and brewery are registered as national Tangible Cultural Properties.

篠山の城下町にある酒蔵です。ここで秋限定酒を試飲。純米吟醸の鳳鳴冷おろしは甘味、辛味、酸味のバランスが取れている。アル度も高めなのに飲みやすく円やかで美味しかった。リキュールは黒豆と栗があり、これも試飲させてもらった。黒豆は酸味が強く少し飲みにくいかなと感じた。栗は少し甘さがありシロップのようでしたね。純米吟醸の鳳鳴冷おろし720㎖を家用に買い、栗のリキュールは、アイスにかけたり、炭酸や氷で割って...

篠山城下町は約４００年の歴史を持つ地域、鳳鳴酒造自体は１８世紀後半ということだそうですが当時の酒造りの様子を見学出来ます。誰の言葉か知りませんが「日本人に生まれて良かった」と言ったところです。
無料で地酒を試飲でき、酒蔵も見学できる貴重な場所

観光と言えば、たいていが有料ですが、ここはすべて無料で、しかもガイドさんが説明してくれて、しかもお酒の試飲ができます。とても古い酒蔵見学では、昔の酒造りの過程などもわかり、とても役立ちます。皆さんにも一回は是非訪れてほしい場所です。
