"A historical building in Higashitakinomachi, Iizaka-machi, Fukushima City. It's a restoration of the former Horikiri family residence, a village headman who made substantial contributions to the local economy. The grounds include valuable examples of old architecture including the Jukkenkura, a warehouse built in 1775 and the oldest such in the prefecture, as well as a newly constructed building that houses an exhibition room, tourist information, and event space. There's also a foot and hand bath on site and you can enjoy looking over the garden while warming yourself in the free flowing natural hot spring constantly replenished ""kakenagashi"" style."

夜間ライトアップがきれい

紅葉の時期に訪問しました。夜間はライトアップされており紅葉が非常に美しかったですね。また、蔵の中には和傘のライトアップがあり、こちらも幻想的でした。
無料で見学と足湯

飯坂温泉の観光地。無料で開放されています。施設はとてもきれいで整備されているので見学はしやすいです。朝９時から夜の９時まで開いているらしいです。少し遅く到着しても見学できるのはいいですね。どうやって採算を取っているのでしょうか…。今回は時間がなかったので立ち寄らなかったのですが、敷地内に足湯があります。
郷土の誇り

手入れの行き届いた邸内では９つの部屋を納めた主屋とそれに併設された３つの「蔵」そして市の文化財「土間蔵」などが観られた。主屋では特に百人一首の歌人たちを描いた絵を貼り付けた襖、また３つある「蔵」では「道具蔵」と呼ばれているものに掲示されていた堀切家家人の経歴が興味深かった。
