Miharu History and Folk Museum
A museum in Sakuradani, Miharu Town, Tamura County. The permanent exhibition centers around the two themes of Miharu of Yesterday and the Miharu of Long Ago. These exhibits include traditional Miharu folk toys including Hariko papier-mache dolls and Miharu Ponies, restored shops and houses and documents from when Miharu flourished as a silk producing region, and even historical documents reaching back to the Jomon Period. Special themed exhibitions are also held and located nearby is the Free Civil Rights Museum.
