Sahako no Yu Public Bath House

A hot spring bathhouse in Sahako, Jobanyumoto-machi, Iwaki City. The baths are fed by a natural free flowing sulfur spring that helps with skin diseases, women's diseases, and high blood pressure. Baths include two indoor baths, one rock bath and one cypress bath, as well as baths for physically challenged (reservation required). The building is a reproduction of late Edo-period architecture and including an exhibition area with hot spring information and a banquet hall.

いわき湯本温泉のランドマーク湯「さはこの湯」へやって来た。地図市営の日帰り温泉施設で、江戸末期の建物様式を模した純和風の建物は、趣があって好感が持てる。この湯には今までなどと数え切れないほど入浴していたのは、妻がこの湯本出身であった。そんなさはこの湯でも久しぶりの入浴とあってどんな湯が待っているのか楽しみであった。相変わらず高めの湯温を保っている湯本温泉の湯に再び出会えた。そういえば入り口ドア...

日本三大温泉と言われる湯本温泉に行きたかった。こじんまりとした町の温泉です。300円と入浴料金も安い。お昼ころ行きましたがほとんどの人が地元の人。温泉は熱めに感じましたが、もうひとつもっと熱い湯船があります。とても温まりました。満足。観光の人もいて同じくその後ほるるに行きました。
手狭なのが少し惜しいけれど。

平日の夜、通り掛かりに初めて立ち寄りました。ナビをセットして行ったら、施設の目の前まできちんと案内してくれました。隣接の駐車場に空きがあり、すぐ車を停めることができました。しかし帰りには満車となっていたので、たまたま運が良かったようです。入浴料金は現在３００円。入口でスリッパに履き替えて、券売機で券を買う方式です。応対は丁寧でした。中は外観と同様、やや時代を感じさせる造りです。脱衣所も...
