A science museum located along Chuo-Koen Dori road in Higashi-kushihara-machi, Kurume. Exhibit areas are divided into themes including Space, Science Fundamentals, Exciting Labs, Robotics and Science Techniques, Nature and the Environment, and Cutting-Edge Science. There's also the next generation planetarium Cosmo Theater which mixes an optical planetarium with a digital video system as well as an astronomy observation room, and they also hold special astronomy, science workshops, and experiment events.

名称には科学館と書かれているが理数系の苦手な私でも、天文学や科学の仕組みを図鑑や展示だけではなく、現在でも中々、他の科学館では体験出来ないようなアトラクションや展示品が沢山在る。今現在は予約を行って安心して入れるが、予約がない場合でも入り口にて必要事項を記入すれば入館可能。初めて行く人で在れば、入館して楽しむまでには若干、苦労をするだろうが、次第に科学についてや天文の世界にのめり込んでしまい閉館時...
科学好きでなくても楽しめる

放電実験やサイエンスショーなど見て楽しむものもありますが、基本的に自分でやってみる、遊びながら学べる施設です。特に科学好きでなくても、ゲーム感覚で楽しめるので、学習というより遊びに行って、結果的に学べるということだと思います。最先端科学のとなりに自然と環境コーナーがあったり、身近な科学から地球や宇宙まで、内容は幅広いです。
