Shimojo Onsenkyo Cosmos-no-Yu
One of the Ina Valley's premier hot spring villages with a view of the Central Alps, Ina Valley, Tenryu River, and the Southern Alps. There's also a good night view of Iida city and during the summer festival you can see fireworks from their outdoor bath. The simple sulfur spring feels good on the skin. Designated as a therapeutic hot spring, it's said to help alleviate chronic skin ailments and chronic women's diseases. It also reputedly keeps you warm even after you get out of the bath. Their Rest Cosmos eatery offers light fare and meal sets made with local produce, as well as their filling gohei-mochi rice cakes made with walnuts.
