They produce glass works including their own original heat resistant Tainetsu Yohen Glass, which has a texture similar to porcelain. In the attached shop they have glass products from various creators and they also offer glass workshops including glass blowing and sand blasting.

吹きガラス体験できる

風鈴作りを体験しました。予約は不要で、ほぼ待つこともなし。手袋やエプロンは貸してもらえるので、服装を気にすることもありません。形や色など決めると職人さんが熱したガラスの塊を持ってきてくれて、アドバイス通りに息を吹き込みます。10分程で形が出来ました。冷ます必要があるので、当日持ち帰りはできませんが有料で宅配してくれます。

道の駅のとじま交流広場の裏側にあります。工房で予約すると作品作り体験出来るようです。残念ながらツアーだったので時間なく、工房横のお店で目の保養をしました。ガラスと言っても単純に透明感あるものだけじゃなく、深い色合いのものもあり時代を感じました。
体験するなら、サンドブラストの方が良いかも？

吹きガラス体験をやりました。3500円程度で翌日渡しもしくは、発送です。初めてでドキドキでしたが、スタッフの方が優しく丁寧に教えてくれたのであっという間にできました。吹いて回す工程を体験するだけなので、少々自分で作った感じはないかな？時間も１５分程度で終了であっけらかんでしたｗ楽しかったですが、子供連れで充実するなら、サンドブラスト体験の方がよいかもです。（こちらは60分程度）
