Mt. Kamabuse Observatory

Observatory / Outlook
This observatory is located in Ochikagawa,Ominato, Mutsu City. Built on top of Mt. Kamabuse, which is the highest peak on the Shimokita Peninsula, at an altitude of 879m, one can view all the natural surroundings, mountains, Mutsu City, and even as far as Hokkaido on a clear day. Described as a swallowtail butterfly floating in the black of night, this is an ideal spot for viewing the nightscape of Mutsu City.
